Halloween at Los Sueños Resort is always a lot of fun. There are parties and costume contests, trick or treating, and all the ghoulish goodness that comes along with a happy halloween holiday. Whether you’re a kid or just a kid at heart, get dressed up in your very best costume for halloween at Los Sueños. Keep in mind that it’s hot and muggy- and sometimes there’s even a bit of rain this time of year. That means you’ll want to pull together a costume that isn’t too warm for the weather, and, as I learned the hard way a few years back, it’s probably best to stay away from body paint. Yes, it will melt. Trick or treating typically starts around 3pm in the resort. You won’t be allowed to go into each community and up the the resident’s doors, but the guards at the gate of each community are loaded up with candy and ready for trick or treaters. Most people have or rent a golf cart for Los Sueños Trick or Treating; a big part of the fun at Los Sueños Halloween is decorating your golf cart to make it the most scary and/or fun trick or treat ride in the bunch. Head for Walmart in San Jose for plenty of decoration items; faux spider webs and spiders, skeletons, ghouls, goblins and more can be had at a fairly cheap price. There are also a number of novelty shops in the city where you can find fake blood, costumes, and decorations alike. After trick or treating around the resort, head for Marina village and hit up all the shops. They’ve got candy too! Finally, your last stop will be the Hook Up where they have an annual costume contest for kids and adults too. At the end of the day, head back to your condo or villa rental and hand the kids over to a sitter; its time for the adults to go out and play! Head back to the Hookup for a fun Halloween party night, or hit up any of the parties at the clubs in Jaco; you’re bound to find something fun to do. For more information about the event, and to make golf cart reservations or condo reservations, reach out to HRG’s concierge team today. They’ll get you squared right up. Happy Halloween!
