Vacations in Los Sueños

School’s nearly out for Spring Break 2017 and its a great time for shaking off the winter blues and enjoying some family bonding. If you’re looking for a blast of sunlight to recharge your soul until summer, as well as a little outdoor adventure, HRG Vacations makes it easy to visit Costa Rica with TWO very special spring-break promotions for your stay at Los Sueños Resort.

  • Book a 7-night stay and pay for only 5 nights

                  OR

  • Stay 4 nights and pay for 3

Just an hour’s drive from San Jose, Los Sueños, a private resort community, sits within a 600-acre rainforest reserve. Overlooking Herradura Bay, the resort offers luxury accommodation in privately owned condominiums, villas and sprawling eco-friendly homes—each with spectacular views of ocean, jungle, mountain, marina or lush fairways.

As visiting residents, guests have access to the oceanfront Los Sueños Beach Club with its large free-form swimming pool, Jacuzzi, shower and changing facilities, extensive decks, a swim-up bar and an elevated, white sand beach. Relax under shaded palapas for a stunning view of the marina and Herradura Bay.

Marina Village’s restaurants offer a wide range of international cuisine with menu specials each weeknight. Bambu Sushi hosts regular Sushi Mondays, while El Galeón, serves or delivers prime rib dinners each Sunday. Thursdays at the Lanterna enjoy two-for-$39 three-course Italian specials. Wine Wednesdays at the Terrace Lounge, just upstairs from Lanterna, feature bottles of specially selected wines at half-price. The Terrace is also a great place to meet and mingle with the barkeeper’s specialty cocktails while enjoying the Pacific sunset. Try Dolce Vita on the square for an open-air brunch or afternoon ice cream and sweets.

The Village’s merchant square offers banking, business and retail services, as well as an urgent care medical clinic. The square is a venue for special events, including outdoor concerts, an arts and crafts festival or wine tastings.

There are plenty of recreational opportunities on or off-site. A variety of cruises, fishing charters or kayak rentals are available and bookable through the HRG concierge. Other activities include zip line canopy tours, horseback rides to waterfalls, ATV and buggy tours through the jungle. All activities include bilingual guides, safety orientations and equipment. Transportation, equipment, snacks and beverages are usually included, as is (quite often), lunch.

Most canopy tours are suitable young children age 7 and older. Tour guides will accompany your family along the cables and point out the canopy inhabitants. For youngsters or the faint-of-heart, try the aerial tram for a truly excellent tour through the canopy. Your guide will stop the car to point out the animals and explain canopy life.

Of course, there is also the kids club at Los Sueños; The Undr8teen’s Family Activity Center is Los Sueños’ latest effort to provide exceptional amenities for families with school age children and teens. Packed with loads of fun, the Unr8teen Activity Center has free Wi-Fi access, a giant flat screen TV with a Play Station 4, movies, and music videos. If Ping Pong, Air Hockey and Foosball are more appealing, those options are available too. Colorful and cool, this relaxed, safe environment is located right next door to the marina and is great fun for kids and teens to hang out on Fridays and Saturdays from 4pm to 11pm. Undr8teen also offers a snack bar, loaded with goodies like popcorn, chips, hotdogs, smoothies, sodas and more.
