Three three-day legs are set to kickoff Jan. 17 2018, Feb. 28 2018, and March 21, 2018 respectively. A recent rule change now permits five fishermen per boat, including one professional angler, with a sixth team member in reserve. A sixth angler may be registered at a cost of $500, however, only 5 are permitted on the boat per day.

From Los Sueños Marina, you can match your wits and skill against blue, black and striped marlin, as well as big Pacific sailfish. Costa Rica is one of the few places in the world where it’s possible to make a grand slam—catch and release three different species of billfish in a single day.
