It's easy to get to Los Sueños Resort in Costa Rica
One of the terrific things about Los Sueños Resort & Marina, and its surrounding areas, is it's convenient location. A short flight from most major hubs in the United States, the International travel portion of your journey is easy. Most visitors choose to fly into Juan Santamaria International Airport, located in the San Jose valley, because it is just a little over an hour from the airport to the HRG offices and Los Sueños Resort.
Getting from the Airport to the Resort
Many of our guests choose to arrange for airport transportation to and from the resort, so that makes it easier, as all you need to do is step out at arrivals and be on the look out for our driver holding a sign with your name on it. However, you may wish to rent a car and drive. Having a rental car will allow you much more freedom to explore the country on your own, as well as give you time to stop along the way to check out the sites. Getting directions and guidance is much easier than it once was with applications like Waze and Google Maps. And now for good, old-fashioned, back-of-a-napkin directions:
Take Route 1 toward Alajuela. After 4.85 miles, keep right onto "Salida Radial El Coyol". Enter the 1st roundabout and exit directly across where you will enter enter a second roundabout; exit onto Route 27 toward Atenas/ Orotina.
After 23.16 miles, keep right and exit toward Route 34 toward Costanera. Enter the roundabout and exit onto Route 34/Costanera. After 19 miles, turn right at Herradura Road (there will be a large shopping center on the corner called the Centro Commercial Plaza Herradura, where you'll find the grocery store AutoMercado).
Look for the HRG Properties & Rentals sign and office on the right or continue on to the Los Sueños Resort entrance and follow the instructions to your condo or villa where you will find our concierge waiting to greet you.
Of course, never hesitate to give us a call at 2637-8484 if you get lost or just need some guidance. Also, keep in mind that even if you don't speak Spanish, you can always communicate with the friendly locals, who will be happy to point you in the right direction. Simply pull over, roll down your window and say, "hola! Para Los Sueños??" and indicate with your hands the direction you're headed in... they will understand and nod the affirmative, or let you know you're headed the wrong way.
