The summer is in full swing on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, and Tournament Season is kicking off with the PELAGIC Rockstar Offshore Tournament@ at Marina Pez Vela from January 11-14. This is followed by the Ladies Only Tournament on January 16th and the Los Suenos Triple Crown from January 18-20. These events promise three days of intense action in a highly competitive environment, attracting participants from all around the world.
The PELAGIC Rockstar Offshore Tournament@ is one of Central America's largest and richest sportfishing tournaments, with over $1,400,000 in prize money up for grabs. Angling teams from across the globe travel to Quepos, Costa Rica to compete for the prestigious title of Tournament Grand Champion and a chance to win some serious cash. The target species for this tournament include sailfish, marlin, tuna, and dorado. Marina Pez Vela, located just one hour south of Los Suenos Marina, is the venue for this exciting event. Many residents of Los Suenos also participate, bringing their knowledge of the waters to the competition.
At HRG Properties and Rentals, we are thrilled to be a part of this festival-like atmosphere, where Costa Rican hospitality and some of the best fishing on the planet come together. We would like to extend our congratulations to Team Fish Tank and Galati for their first-place finish at the Pelagic Rockstar Offshore Tournament. This team, comprised of long-time residents of Los Suenos, has consistently brought excellence to our waters.
Additionally, we would like to acknowledge other Los Suenos teams, such as Dragin Fly, who the marlin daily for the sonar division on day 1, earning a total of $104,400. This North Carolina team has been competing in fishing tournaments in Costa Rica since 2009 and continues to return year after year.
Another Los Suenos team, Team Cabana, also had a successful day 2, winning the marlin daily for the sonar division and earning a total of $104,400. This highly competitive team spends a great deal of time fishing the Central Pacific Waters of Costa Rica.
